Information about Martin
Do you need to improve your spoken English, or perhaps you want a little extra help with your University course work - polishing the grammar and punctuation ready for submission? Get in touch for an informal chat to see if I might be able to help!
I hold a CELTA teaching English to Foreign Students Certificate from Cambridge University, and also have a BSc (Hons) in Herbal Medicine from the University of Lincoln with a "1st" awarded for my dissertation.
I am particularly interested in helping under-graduates prepare their academic work for submission at University, and with my background as a practicing Medical Herbalist, I am able to give specialist help in anatomy and physiology, patho-physiology, diagnostic skills, and I also have an extensive knowledge of herbal materia medica.
I am able to conduct one to one lessons / tutorials in my purpose built "Garden Clinic" where I practice from, which is conveniently located near to the University.
I am a professional member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH) and am on their register.
Availability: I am available at various times through-out the week by appointment. I can be quite flexible on times, which can be discussed and arranged.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have taught English to Japanese, Thai, Malaysian, Chinese and Indian Students, both here in the UK and in Thailand where I used to live.
