My name is Clara and I am a highly motivated teacher willing to work and do my best as a professional. I consider myself creative, organised, a good communicator and a hardworking person who is always willing to improve professionally.

I am a qualified teacher in Spain, I have a Degree in Early Years Education (children from birth to six years old) with a minor in teaching English. I have also completed a second Degree in Primary Education (children from 6 to 12 years old). Both degrees are recognized at a European level. I am from Barcelona, Spain, thus I speak Spanish and Catalan, and as well I speak fluent English and have good listening, reading and writing skills.

Experience: I have worked in different educational roles. I have worked as a teacher assistant in a number of schools and with different group ages (0-12) and as an English, Spanish and Catalan private tutor with young children, secondary students and adults. I have been a Group leader for over than four years as a volunteer in a Scouts and Guides group, mentoring children from 5 to 19 years old and I have also experience as a nanny and au pair. I am currently teacher of a 3-4 year olds group and I am as well as the third in charge of the Nursery.

All this experience has allowed me to develop as a professional in a variety of contexts and also learn from other professionals. I have worked with different kinds of motivational, interactive and student self-centred methodologies and as well with different sorts of assessment. I have had to create, implement and evaluate learning activities, projects, lessons plans, and always adapting them to closely match the learners` interests and needs. Provide one-to-one teaching and support in learning a second or third language in the development of listening, speaking, reading and writing skills on a target language. I needed to adapt the lessons to my students needs and create personalized and motivating activities. As a language tutor is also very important to bear in mind that promoting a climate of confidence during the lessons is essential the student has to feel confident to ask any doubt or express him/herself using the target language without being ashamed.
