Calum

Hi, I`m Calum, a 24 year old recent graduate in French and Spanish from the University of Southampton. I have spent time studying in both France and Spain, including a year abroad studying at the Universidad de Alicante. I`ve also helped develop and taught at Rhe Language Exchange as a Spanish Ambassador.

I have a fun, approachable style of teaching and am firmly of the belief that languages are best learnt in an applied and varied manner tailored to one`s needs. My goal is to have the student thinking and speaking in the target language as much as possible. Through this immersion, grammatical rules and complex vocabulary become second nature and general comprehension increases under stress free conditions.

As previously mentioned, lesson plans can be crafted so as to make best use of our time, be it to work on homework, coursework or just to increase the level of language as a whole.

Experience: I`ve studied languages since the age of 6, gaining A* grades in both French and Spanish at GCSE and A grades in both at A level. I`ve also recently finished my degree at the University of Southampton. I`m used to teaching all ages and in a variety of environments thanks to time spent teaching karate and Music, and as such am able to operate in a flexible and adaptable manner
