Information about David
I am a recently retired teacher from a private school aged 60. I studied Economics at Manchester University where I attained a Second Class Honours Degree. I then trained as an accountant before realising that teaching was my true vocation so I did my PGCE.
Availability: I am available most times as I retired from teaching in the summer of 2017. I will charge £25 per hour.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have been a teacher since 1983 commencing with a High School on the Wirral where I taught Maths and Economics. After this I moved to a Grammar School where I was promoted to Head of Economics and Business Studies. I then worked in private education teaching Mathematics up to GCSE and Economics and Business up to A Level and International Baccalaureate standard.

David has established a good working relationship with my grandson. He has pinpointed his weaknesses, recommended exercises to practice to help and is working with him each week to improve as well as providing progress updates. Would recommend David as a maths tutor.

David is currently tutoring my son A Level Economics online. My son had a couple of sessions at David`s house before the COVID-19 outbreak. Since then he`s be working with my son online - my son actually prefers the online tutoring as there is no travel involved and it works well online. When writing this review David has completed 11 sessions with my son and we`re committed to the tutoring for the foreseeable future. David is easy to get on with, starts on time, organised, prepared and has driven the general structuring of the tutoring. He contacts my son a few days prior to the tutor session outlining the topic and materials to be used for the next session. David has also spent time reviewing assignments and is flexible to my sons learning needs. I would definately reccommend David.

With each subsequent lesson, I become sure that choosing Mr.David was a great idea. He is a patient person who has the gift of passing on knowledge and, as my son assures, a great sense of humor.
