Information about Luke
Hi I am a qualified chemistry A-level teacher who also teaches all sciences to GCSE in a Birmingham school. I went to school at King Edward VI Camp Hill for boys then went on to get a degree from the University of Nottingham in Biochemistry. Upon completing this degree I did a PGCE to become a qualified teacher with QTS. I have 9 years teaching experience in schools along with being a former Head of Science. Whilst teaching I have also enjoyed tutoring in my spare time. I have taught students on numerous exam boards including AQA, Edexcel and OCR.
I am happy to help any student studying for their GCSEs in any of the sciences. Having been on AQA specific courses I would be happy to help with their A-level chemistry course.
I have many successes in tutoring with the majority of my students receiving A/A*s at GCSE. In recent years my A-level students have gone onto courses in dentistry, medicine and veterinary science.
Availability: I am free during the days, evenings and weekends during the summer holidays.

He is an excellent tutor who explains everything on the specification clearly. He also has many questions readily available in the lesson, allowing the student to practice their skills effectively.

My daughter has had luke for a month now for Gcse chemistry and it is going really well. She’s definitely become more confident and gaining a deeper understanding. Luke is always on time, very professional and knowledgable.
