Information about Luke
Hi I am a qualified chemistry A-level teacher who also teaches all sciences to GCSE in a Birmingham school. I went to school at King Edward VI Camp Hill for boys then went on to get a degree from the University of Nottingham in Biochemistry. Upon completing this degree I did a PGCE to become a qualified teacher with QTS. I have 9 years teaching experience in schools along with being a former Head of Science. Whilst teaching I have also enjoyed tutoring in my spare time. I have taught students on numerous exam boards including AQA, Edexcel and OCR.
I am happy to help any student studying for their GCSEs in any of the sciences. Having been on AQA specific courses I would be happy to help with their A-level chemistry course.
I have many successes in tutoring with the majority of my students receiving A/A*s at GCSE. In recent years my A-level students have gone onto courses in dentistry, medicine and veterinary science.
Availability: I am free during evenings and weekends.

Luke is a really easy going tutor who always come to my sons lessons prepared. He has material and questions from the exam board my son is studying for, so he can achieve his best. Luke has listened carefully to where Luke`s areas of weakness are in Chemistry and has worked with him to develop his understanding. Thank you for all your hard work Luke, I would definitely recommend.

Luke has tutored my son in GCSE chemistry for the last couple of months. He has found Luke to be an excellent tutor who excels at explaining the tricky things he struggled to understand in school. I will most definitely be asking him to tutor him for his A-level, should he need help.
