Hello, my name is Tamás, I am a London-based jazz saxophonist and music teacher.

I started to learn music at the age of 6, playing the recorder, and made the switch for the saxophone after 5 years. At the age of 16, I moved to Budapest to continue my studies in jazz saxophone with some of the best musicians in Hungary. Here I formed my first trio and quartet and gained my first experience as a bandleader. In 2010 I moved to Italy, where I began my Bachelor`s studies at the Conservatory of Music of Trento. After graduating in 2013, I moved to Milan where I studied at the Conservatory of Music Giuseppe Verdi and worked both as a performer and teacher.
In 2015 I`ve decided to try my luck in London, and been working as a freelance musician and teacher since then.

Experience: I`ve gained my first teaching experience during my studies in Italy, where I was occasionally, running ensemble classes and improvisation classes. I started to give 1-1 lessons in 2015 and have been doing them since then. My youngest student was 6, the oldest was 63, both beginners, and these situations made me developed my own teaching style, as 6 years old learns at a different pace and way than a 63-year-old. I always shape my lessons around my student`s needs and wishes, without forgetting the importance of the basics of learning the saxophone.
