Information about Jack

I am a patient and approachable tutor who enjoys helping students build both confidence and subject knowledge. I am currently studing for an undergraduate economics degree at the Univerisity of Bath, and I have A levels in Mathematics (A*), Further Mathematics (A), Physics (A) and economics (A). I tutor both GCSE, A level and KS3 mathematics, and I enjoy making complex topics clear and manageable.
My lessons are calm, structured and tailored to each student’s needs. A typical hour starts with a short recap or homework review, followed by guided practice, exam-style questions and a summary of next steps. I use examples, practice exercises and exam techniques to strengthen understanding. I particularly enjoy helping students break down difficult problems into simple steps, so they leave lessons feeling confident and motivated.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: I have been tutoring for a couple of years throughout sixth form, including weekly sessions with Year 10 students. I also competed in AMSP’s Senior Maths Team Challenge, which developed my problem-solving and explanation skills. My tutoring experience has given me the ability to adapt to different learning styles and to support students in preparing effectively for exams.
