Hi, I am a maths graduate from Imperial College London, and I have a 2:1 masters degree. I can tutor maths up to A level, including further maths, and first year degree level if you are interested!
I am pursuing this formally as I am considering becoming a teacher, and I believe this would give me valuable experience.
My Hobbies are rugby for university, and if I get the opportunity I love to ski. I also enjoy writing stories in my spare time.
I recently spent a month in France, learning about the culture and the language, so could also
give some informal help with French if the need arose.
Availability: I am currently available during most evenings, and weekends if this is easier. Get in touch to find out if I can accommodate you, as I can generally make time.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I tutored for my final 2 years of study at university, and tutored 6 students successfully the youngest of these was a boy in year 7, and the oldest was an A-level student in upper sixth form, so I have plenty of experience working with all levels.
I helped my year 9 student move up a set, and helped my A-level student move from a D to a B.
I really enjoy helping students grasp the harder parts of the topics, and it is always satisfying to see students improve!
We have a total of
review(s) for Luke.
Would highly recommend Luke as a tutor. He is very reliable, he has been tutoring our son with maths GCSE, and explains things in a way our son can understand. Luke is very approachable and patient, and has helped our son gain his confidence again in maths.
A excellent tutor, who gets the best out his student.
Luke is very knowledgeable but just as importantly he knows how to explain his subject and takes time to find out what is needed. Also he prepares in detail for each lesson. Highly recommended.
