Information about Claire

I am approachable and friendly and believe strongly that a relationship of trust and mutual respect is key to successful tutoring. I understand and empathise with young people and the pressures they face in the current system, and I have the skills,knowledge and experience to help them develop curriculum knowledge, resilience and effective study skills.
I prefer to take a creative approach to study, while maintaining a sharp focus on the long term goal, whether that be a GCSE result, improving a specific skill, or working on a piece of coursework.

Availability: Daytime for adults, home-educated or Steiner any day of Monday-Thursday.
Saturday mornings.
Evenings after 3:30 pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday until 6:30 pm. Later for adults or 14+ by arrangement.
Saturday morning until 12.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: English to degree level with a specialism in the AQA GSCE.
French to degree level and am familiar with the current AQA specification.
Study and revision skills at secondary level.

I currently work as a teacher-trainer for PGCE students, so my skills are current and relevant to the demands of today`s education system.

Claire is a wonderful tutor. She is very organised and knowledgeable.Erin`s weekly sessions with Claire are already making a huge difference to her French skills and her enthusiasm for the subject. I`m so glad that we decided to ask Claire to help us.
