I`m a qualified primary school teacher (PGCE, 1987) with a friendly and creative approach to learning and achieving goals.

Availability: Available to tutor online only Tues & Thurs afternoons during term time, with more availability in school holidays for catch-up sessions. Our first session is an opportunity for me to meet you and your child, and for us to explore how I can help.

Experience: I`ve been online tutoring primary maths with [contact detail removed] on the National Tutoring Programme (NTP) since Nov 2020, delivering hourly catch-up sessions for one or two pupils at a time. Pre-Covid I tutored in-school with Action Tutoring, working with disadvantaged pupils helping KS2 pupils prepare for their SATs. I also worked with Brighton Social Services Virtual School, working with looked after children in care. At St Pancras Primary School in Lewes I volunteered as a reading coach for several years helping children who needed extra support with their reading. My PGCE training was at Roehampton Institute, and included a semi-specialism in primary science teaching.
