I am a qualified Geography teacher and former Head of Department, and have 13 years of teaching experience. I am passionate about Geography and am well-travelled, so love to bring my personal experience into learning. I am committed to inspiring young people to see their true potential, and work with organisations that improve the social and emotional skills in young people. Whilst I appreciate that most students come to lessons wanting to know how to master exam techniques, I also feel it is important to being a sense of joy into the subject so they leave their education actually having enjoyed the subject!

I have previously trained teachers internationally and understand how young people best learn. My creativity and flexible approach has meant that I have a range of adaptable teaching techniques. I believe in putting the student first and treating them like an adult.

As well as tutoring and working with educational organisations, I have also Masters degree in Social Justice and Education.


Tutoring Approach:
I have a love of learning and believe that learning should not just be about meeting the syllabus requirements for the exam board. I am patient with all my pupils and will adapt tutor sessions to meet the needs of the learner. I am flexible in terms of the content that the learner would like to go through and I am able to bring resources to each session.

Most proudest tutoring moments:
- An A-level student I tutored last academic year went from a B grade to achieving 100% on one her papers!
- An A-level student with significant learning needs went from a D to an A.
- An A-level student, who also had dyslexia, came to me working at a U-grade level - over 2 years of support she achieved an A* and went on to change her university course option to Geography where I have continued to tutor her and she is now in her 3rd year and on track for a 1st

Experience: Tutoring Experience:
+13 years of teaching. Former Head of Geography at an `Outstanding` school in East London. I have been graded an `Outstanding` for my teaching practice. I was a teacher in mainstream education for 7 years and have taught in Australia as well as England. My teacher training was at the no.1 training provider in the world, Institute of Education.

I have a deep understanding of a range of exam boards, and have designed curriculum in the schools I have worked in.

I have taught many exam classes and students of all abilities, including SEN pupils.
