Hi! My name is Sapthi, I am a recent Economics graduate from the University of Southampton.

During the pandemic, I began providing tutoring in Maths and English at KS1/KS2. Due to the many disruptions that young people have been experiencing with their learning this year, I felt that providing online tutoring would be a fantastic way to provide a foundation for those receiving a lack of academic support. In the past year, I have tutored pupils across Year 1 to Year 6, including supporting students in preparation for their 11+ entrance exams.

I am understanding of individual differences and preferred styles of learning, and therefore work with my students to provide support that suits them best. In addition to providing support in targeted topics, I also draw from a range of books and online resources to facilitate varied learning and assessment.

In the first lesson, I have a discussion with both the child and parent to understand what support is needed, and together, create an individual learning plan that we will refer to throughout our tutoring period.

I value the importance of patience, and understand how valuable encouragement and motivation can be for a child. My approach to teaching involves creating an environment that encourages curiosity and a growth mindset, which includes providing formative feedback during lessons, with the opportunity for my students to identify their own strengths, as well as target their own areas for growth.

Availability: Saturday-Sunday, 10am-6pm
