I’m currently training to be a secondary school science teacher - teaching all three sciences to GCSE, and biology to A-level. I have a first class degree in Biology.

I love working with students and seeing their enjoyment of science - and confidence in it - grow. I believe metacognition is key to taking control of one’s own learning. I want to work in partnership with tutees to help them develop learning skills to help them succeed beyond school and empower them to believe in their own abilities.

Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, with some after school availability.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I have experience supporting a broad age range of children with different capabilities in many subjects.

I am also a mother to three children, two of whom are at secondary school. I think this helps me think of ways to explain difficult areas
