I am a Cambridge University graduate in Human, Social and Political Sciences (Politics, Sociology, International Relations, and Anthropology), and for A-level I studied English Literature, History, Philosophy, Maths, Music, and an EPQ dissertation on the United Nations and Human Rights. This makes me very well equipped to teach a broad range of humanities and social sciences subjects to A-level, and I am also happy to provide help with university applications and Oxbridge interviews.

Overall, I am caring, conscientious, enthusiastic, academically able and curious, reliable and organised, and thus very well equipped to help your child or teenager excel and fulfil their personal goals and academic potential.

Availability: Weekdays after 5pm, weekends all day.

Experience: I have experience tutoring humanities subjects, including A-level History, A-level Philosophy, A-level Politics, A-level English, Year 8/9 History, and GCSE English. I have tutored three state school students through the Cambridge application process (all of whom were offered a place). I also have a number of years’ experience teaching piano to a 6-8 year old boy, and have a lot of years of experience babysitting and childminding. While studying at Cambridge, I participated in the Access and Outreach Shadowing Scheme, which involved a Sixth Form student from a disadvantaged background shadowing me and me giving them advice on applying to Cambridge and helping them understand what my degree involved. I am personable, caring, good at communicating with children and teenagers, and also organised, intelligent and very aware of what is required to achieve top grades at A-level and get into top universities. I also have experience teaching English to young women and girls in New Delhi, as part of a jobs skills and IT training course run by the women`s trade un ion I was working for.
