Hi! I am Shanthavi, a 4th year medical student at KCL passionate about teaching young minds and helping them achieve their goals.

Having been a straight A.9 student myself at SPGS, I am well equipped to demystify the subjects and support their learning. Moreover, I have completed both a teaching and a mentoring award at university, hence have the expertise and experience to guide my students.

Experience: Having over 6 years of teaching experience, I have tutored children as young as 6 years old all the way to university medical students. I have taught and volunteered at a range of places including schools, summer camps, lectures, small group tutorials, and one-to-one tuition. I cover a wide scope of subjects in my teachings including Science, English, Geography and more. My previous students include SATS, 11+, Common Entrance, GCSE, A-level and medical school exams. I craft interactive and engaging sessions requiring my students to think creatively and critically as opposed to rote learning.

I use a tailored approach specific to my tutees needs and learning styles.

Moreover, I encourage them to be curious by always relating what they study to the bigger picture, enriching their studying and revision. I believe academic success goes hand in hand with having a vision of your goals and the hunger to accomplish them. I am dedicated to make my students feel more confident in their abilities and flourish in academic life!
