My name is Carolina and I’m a 5th year medical student at the University of Oxford. I am looking to tutor prospective students who require help with science subjects at both GCSE and A level.

I received offers from all medical schools I interviewed at (Oxford, Imperial and Exeter) and achieved A*AAA at A level and 13A* at GCSE. Moreover, I have a vast background of tutoring GCSE science to A* standard and have tutored A level biology to A* standard also. I have previously tutored UCAT and specialise in abstract reasoning.

I strongly believe that with my excellent academic background and success in applying to university I will be able to guide students to achieve academic excellence in GCSEs and A levels. I have also tutored prospective medical students with their applications; whether it be analysing and formatting personal statements or practice for medical interviews.

In terms of personal statements, I offer a review package for £25 per session where I will review/re-draft personal statements for medicine and give detailed feedback on how to make a personal statement stand out.

I received a merit in my 4th year exams at Oxford, placing me in the top 10% of the cohort. I specialise in teaching clinical students examinations, single best answer papers and history-taking.

Experience: I have previously tutored science and medical school admissions. I have taught GCSE biology, chemistry and maths to A* standard and biology A level to A* standard. Moreover I have tutored students requiring help with medical admissions, from personal statements to interviews (including Oxford, Imperial, Exeter, Liverpool, Southampton and Aston). I have tutored UCAT to small groups before and received excellent feedback. Moreover, I received top 10% in abstract reasoning and top 20% in my overall score.

I have consistently placed at the top end of the cohort in my medical exams at the University of Oxford.
