Information about Agnes
I have been tutoring since April 2021 and have amassed over 2000 teaching hours, having graduated with a First Class BA in English from University College London and a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
I am passionate about giving my students the confidence to succeed in their studies by guiding them to find a personal connection with studying literature, and English more broadly. It wasn`t until sixth form that I came to love the subject, with a teacher who demonstrated that studying English is a gateway to learning about almost every other subject - history, politics or even biology and physics.
I love literature because I enjoy learning about authors` perspectives on the world around them and the topics which interest them. When tutoring, I find it extremely rewarding to tailor my lessons to my students` interests and steer them towards finding their own individual way of interpreting and articulating their understanding of the texts they study.
Availability: Monday: Before 4:45pm and after 8pm
Tuesday: Before 6pm
Wednesday: Before 5:15pm and after 6:45pm
Thursday: Before 4:45pm and after 6:15pm
Friday: all day
Weekends: I am available most weekends!

Experience: I have been a freelance English tutor since April 2021 and have clocked up over 2000 teaching hours. I have a wide range of tutoring experience: teaching adults essay-writing, coaching GCSE students for their exams, and teaching younger children English as a foreign language as well as preparing them for 11+ and 13+.
Alongside teaching, I work as an academic proofreader and copy editor for the University of Hildesheim. With this experience, I am able to clearly communicate how students can strengthen and refine their essays.

Agnes is a fantastic English tutor. Her teaching style is engaging and very effective. She`s incredibly patient and understanding, which makes learning a lot of fun. She helped my daughter significantly improve her confidence and grades. She helped her memories all theorists and case studies that she needed. So I would highly recommend Agnes to anyone who is looking for an English tutor.

Agnes tutored a young Ukrainian refugee hosted by my family. The confidence and knowledge she imparted was instrumental in our guest (whose English language skill was rudimentary when she arrived in this country) earning places in two highly rated private schools and winning a bursary in a third, which she will be attending from next term. I rate Agnes very highly for her compassionate, friendly and skilful coaching.
