I have been tutoring and mentoring over the last 10 years in a number of different formats. I enjoy working in the academic environment and have experience in working in schools, online, in university and private tuition. I am comfortable in a range of environments, a good communicator and am able to work independently or in a team. I did have a career in scientific research but due to a cycling accident I have moved into teaching/ tutoring. I have experience in K4 Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Geology. I believe in student-centred education and that building confidence is key.

I was a professional science tutor and learning mentor at Lipson Co-operative Academy 2015 - 2017 Tutoring GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics in class and planning and carrying out after-school science classes.
From 2010-2013 I was a teaching assistant for the Earth Sciences Department at University of Liverpool, tutoring undergraduate students in geology modules.
