A fun and supportive tutor, writer and filmmaker with 4 years experience teaching. I teach AQA English Language GCSE.

As a tutor, I seek to empower, motivate and push my students to reach their full potential.

I strongly believe that the ability to learn is the greatest skill one can develop, and will focus as much on learning techniques and exam strategies as much as the course content itself.

Through patience and support, I will keep finding new ways to look at a subject until it makes sense to my student. We all learn about and understand the world differently, and I seek to turn that uniqueness into a superpower.

Availability: I am available until 7pm on weekdays and until 12 noon on weekends.

Experience: My teaching journey started in Western China where I taught English as a Foreign Language and Western learning techniques.

I then went on to become a filmmaker and screenwriter, winning awards for my work and having my films screened across Europe, North America and Asia.

I also taught Film Production Management at London Film School for over 2 years at MA level and on short courses.

I have also volunteered at specialist schools, tutoring Maths and engaging students, and am experienced and capable working with neurodivergent, dyslexic and special needs students.

I do not have formal teaching qualifications, but bags of experience and a sunny personality that makes learning fun. I have had many students in the past tell me that I can make the most dry subjects entertaining and that I leave them feeling empowered and confident.

I am also fluent in Mandarin Chinese with a first-class honours degree in Chinese Studies with distinction in Written and Spoken Mandarin from the University of Nottingham.
