Hi my name is Katie and I am a Secondary School languages teacher with Qualified Teacher Status. I am an Oxford graduate (Spanish and Italian BA) with a passion for languages and teaching. I have lived in both Spain and Italy.
I am very experienced in teaching the GCSE syllabus. My teaching methods include combining exam technique with drilling grammar and vocabulary. I expose my students to a large amount of authentic material and place emphasis on speaking and listening.
I am able to teach A-Level set texts/films seeing as I have a literature background, spending much of my degree writing essays on Spanish and Italian novels, poetry and theatre.

Experience: After graduating from the University of Oxford with a degree in Spanish and Italian I trained to be a Secondary School MFL teacher. I currently teach classes ranging from Year 7 - 11 and I am experienced in preparing students for GCSE examinations. I also have an in depth knowledge of the A-Level curriculum and I have a particular interest in Hispanic literature and film.
