I am an easy going person who believes in engaging students to encourage them to perfrom to the best of their ability. I hold a degree in Maths and Music along with a PGCE in primary education.
Availability: Evenings subject to availability but can be flexible.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I am a qualified primary school teacher with some 25 years experience as a classroom teacher. My specialist areas are KS1, KS2 and KS3 and have extensive experience teaching in small groups, 1:1 tutoring and whole classes. In addition, I have a good knowledge of the Primary Curriculum & Assessment Framework and a wealth of experience teaching children with differing educational, behavioural and emotional needs.

Annette has been teaching my son English at KS2 for several weeks now. The improvement is so noticeable already! He has been able to explain and understand concepts of English grammar, punctuation, and comprehension for KS2 SATS. He really likes her approach and how she explains things to him. He describes her as " the best primary school teacher ever"! He has loads more confidence, and seems much happier to tackle his school work. Annette has been completing SATS revision questions with him, so he is learning how to answer a three mark question in a test situation, to maximise potential marks.

Annette`s been working with my daughter for the past few months, she`s age 9 and just started Y5. I felt Beatrice needed some help as we`d noticed gaps in her maths understanding that were holding her back, Beatrice has already grown in confidence with her maths and told me that she`s finding her work at school easier due to these lessons. I would definitely recommend Annette, she quickly built up a repour with Beatrice, keeps the lessons fun and engaging, and is clearly a very experienced tutor.
