Information about Alex

I have completed a masters in chemistry, and I am available to tutor GCSE three sciences and maths and chemistry A-level.

I am very friendly and have worked with young people of all ages with the scouts, where I have been an assistant beaver and scout leader for several years. I am very patient and have tutored several students during the holidays from university helping one child increase his grade from a D to a B. I have had lots of positive feedback about my engagement and teaching styles.

I have completed my gold duke of Edinburgh and I am currently working on my queen scout award.

Availability: I am available most weekends, and Tuesday & Friday evenings, but i will make more time if needed

Willing to travel: 8 miles

Experience: I have a masters degree in chemistry,
I also have Alevels in Biology physics chemistry and maths - which I feels gives me good grounding for teaching GCSE

Alex taught my son Physics for Year 10 during the summer holidays. He came in once a week at a time suitable to both. He had the relevant study books. He was happy to teach any topic where my son needed help. He tried to make the subject interesting. Hopefully the extra lessons will help my son for the GCSE Physics at school.

Alex was great with my son. He took the time to make sure he understood properly the work they were doing and as a result the boy is much more confident about his exams in a few weeks.

Alex is very knowledgable, personable and adaptable. My children are both very happy with the help that he is giving them in KS3 & GCSE 3 x sciences & Maths. Very good tutor & lovely young man.
