Hello, my name is Sadia and I live in Leyton. I graduated from Roehampton University with a BA in Primary Education and a specialism in Mathematics.

I am very passionate about teaching and I aim to provide a safe and engaging environment where children feel confident to ask questions and experiment with their ideas. Learning should be an enjoyable experience which is why my lessons are always packed with humour and creativity.

Experience: I have been teaching for 7 years now, and I am currently teaching year 5, however I have taught in both KS1 & 2. I am currently RE subject lead and was the Literacy Lead before that. I have a thorough understanding of the National Curriculum and I would like to offer tuition at Primary Level in Mathematics and English. I particularly enjoy supporting struggling learners and can adapt my teaching and approach to meet the needs of the individual child.

When delivering Mathematics I follow the CPA approach ( concrete - pictorial - abstract) I allow pupils the time to manipulate concrete resources in order secure concepts before moving to the abstract. I always push for mastery and children are provided with reasoning and problem solving activities also.

I have recently completed a diploma in Special Educational Needs, and over the years have adapted my teaching to meet the needs of children with dyslexia, dyspraxia, autism, ADHD and more.

I began tutoring during the first lock down via online platforms in an effort to support families with their learning, I also tutor from home.
