Hi,
My name is Safiyyah.
I’m a medical student at Kings College London. I’m currently intercalating in a Global Health BSc. I specialise in KS3 to GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Geography tuition. I picked these subjects for A-Levels, achieved two A*s and an A and I have a passion for teaching them.
I have been tutoring Biology, Chemistry and Geography for the past 4 years to mainly grammar school students. I offer online tuition via Zoom covering content and focusing on exam technique. I am experienced teaching online and have found ways to make it as effective as in person teaching.
I sat and now tutor Edexcel/OCR Biology and AQA Geography this enables me to help students with understanding specification content, revision and study skills and most importantly, exam technique.
So they can aim for those top marks!
Every student learns differently, and I tailor lessons to their individual goals and learning style, using a variety of tasks and approaches to keep sessions interactive and productive.

Experience: I have now been tutoring for 4 years, mainly GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Geography and KS3 Science. I am experienced in tutoring AQA and Edexcel specifications at GCSE.
Having also taught at GCSE and ALevel Summer Schools I am familiar with the level of knowledge, maths skills, application and essay techniques required to achieve those top grades.

Safiyyah has worked really well with Alice, clearly explaining and working through the understanding of the topic into exam question format. Alice finds Safiyyahs approach methodical but is also comfortable enough to be able to ask for extra help or clarification if something does not make sense. We are approaching GCSE exams now and as this is a subject that Alice would like to do for A level, this tutoring has been hugely beneficial.

I had lessons with her for a few weeks right before my GCSES - I think we only had like 4 lessons - but I went up 3 grades from my mocks. She`s really great at explaining things in a way that is easy to understand but without having to dumb down the content or miss out on key vocab needed for the exams. Honestly just super helpful and good at teaching.
