I am an enthusiastic and flexible tutor who believes in her students.
* 20 years teaching experience as English teacher (PGCE, BA (Hons) 1st Class English)
* Extensive experience teaching AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR, Eduqas, CIE specifications
* Fun and interactive tuition which build on the student`s strengths to achieve success.
* Lessons are individually tailored.
Using past papers or homework/lesson tasks we work together to develop:
- academic or creative writing styles
- planning and writing coursework
- refining language analysis skills for GCSE and A` Level
- developing examination techniques
Availability: Lessons available now.
If intensive support is required block bookings for tuition over the holidays can be arranged.

Experience: As a former Head of English and currently as a private tutor, I worked successfully with Year 10 to Year 13 students from private and state schools to achieve and exceed predicted grades.
I supported students with dyslexia, ADHD and Aspergers to reach the highest grades.
Assistance and support is available for the preparation for UCAS personal statements and university interviews, including Oxbridge applications.

Luci engaged well with my son who struggling to pass GCSE English mocks. He enjoyed the lessons. She went through practice questions and gave him the guidance and confidence to increase his grade by 2 grades. We are very grateful to Luci for all her help and I would recommend her for English tuition.

My daughter recently took lessons with Luci for her A level English exams and found them extremely useful. I contacted her within short notice and close to my daughter sitting her exams, and Luci was incredibly helpful and structured the sessions well for her to feel confident and well prepared. Luci is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her subject and tailored the sessions to my daughter`s weaknesses and with encouragement, instilled a new sense of confidence in her abilities. She really enjoyed the lessons and I would highly recommend her as a tutor.
