I am a qualified English teacher with 12 years experience in the classroom. I have been a Head of English and an examiner for AQA, so I have a wealth of knowledge of GCSE and English A Level courses.

My sessions are tailored to the individual student and their needs. I use their work to diagnose areas of weakness and then use this information to plan lessons that target these areas. I use a variety of strategies to support students, and I focus on building confidence in my tutees. Where I am tutoring a student for an exam, I spend time demonstrating effective revision strategies so that my tutee is equipped with the skills they need to support themselves in preparation for their exams.

I adore English, and I want to share this passion with those I teach, so I ensure ghat my sessions are engaging and interesting for my students. I am confident in tutoring students across all abilities: I can support students to reach grade 4s that have previously eluded them, but I can also provide that “extra push” for an A Level student wanting an A*.

I am able to tutor individuals and small groups and I offer both in person and online sessions.

Availability: Weekday evenings from 5pm to 9pm.

Saturday mornings from 10am to 12pm.
