Information about Lorna
I am a fully qualified business teacher of 20 years and am a senior examiner. I specialise in online one-to-one tuition and Home Ed.
I receive excellent feedback in helping students exceed their target grades. Prior to teaching, I worked in business insolvency, and have had a good insight into global business having also worked in North Carolina, US.
I am passionate about teaching Business and I love to discuss the real world business environment. I am an enthusiastic and engaging teacher with a wealth of experience helping young people achieve high grades.
I am driven by student progress, positive engagement, and researching more about the ever-changing real business world, both domestically and globally. This allows me to apply business theory to real, current examples.
I left the classroom in July 2021 in order to become a full-time online tutor.
Availability: I`m now taking on students for the 2025 - 2026 academic year to start over the summer / September.

Experience: I am a senior examiner and participate in annual in-depth training. This insider experience allows me to gain the most up-to-date and relevant understanding of the marking process.
During my teaching career, I taught GCSE, A-Level and BTEC Business at 2 top Grade 1 Sixth Form Colleges between 2006 and 2021. I now tutor and author full-time and travel the world as much as possible.

Lorna is experienced, knowledgable and kind. My daughter went from hating business and feeling confused and like she could not ‘do’ it to it being her favourite a level and wanting to study it in the future. Thanks so much Lorna!

We were very lucky to have Lorna support our son with his Business A level. As a home educated student he needed the support and guidance that Lorna was able to give him in order for him to achieve the top grade he was aiming for. She ensured that Rocco maintained his interest in the subject and he found her very inspiring. Lorna provided detailed feedback after every session which was invaluable and Rocco was over the moon to achieve an A*. We are all incredibly grateful to her.

Lorna has been amazing at getting my daughter’s confidence back and focussing on areas that need extra work. Lorna has been fantastic at giving feedback to both my daughter and myself & been very flexible with days & times of sessions. I would highly recommend.
