Information about Kelvin

I am a cadet pilot with one of the UK`s largest airlines. Due to Covid-19, my training has been paused for the summer and so I am offering my services as a tutor. Last summer, I graduated from the University of Bath with a first class degree in aerospace engineering.

Pilot training involves extensive maths and physics based theory. This has allowed me to gain `real world` experience of concepts that, when taught in the classroom, can be abstract and difficult to relate to. I am keen to use my experience in sessions.

Availability: I am very flexible up until my training resumes at the end of the summer. Due to Covid-19, I am offering online tutoring, but am happy to travel for face-to-face sessions, in line with government guidelines, and observe whatever safety measures you are personally comfortable with.

Willing to travel: 4 miles

Experience: During sixth form I was involved with a scheme, run by my school, to provide tutoring in maths and science for less privileged children in the area.

In summer 2018, I worked for the NCS as a senior mentor in charge of a group of 13 young people (year 11). Although this role did not involve direct academic tutoring, it gave me invaluable experience in providing pastoral support to students.
