My teaching style is generally quite relaxed, trying to create a calm atmosphere to help students to enjoy the study time, rather than view it as a chore, and therefore to retain more information as well. I do also have a strong focus on results, and will work hard to ensure that students are learning a lot and seeing a positive result from our time together.

Availability: Afternoons and some weekday evenings

Experience: Having graduated with a First Class Honours degree in English and American Literature, I have a good understanding of the requirements for all levels of English study, as well as in essay writing techniques. I have also got extensive experience working with children as a live-in nanny and tutor to children aged 2 - 16, working with children of all abilities and those struggling with dyslexia.
