Information about Tim
I am 53 years old and have been teaching since 1995. I am married with two children and live in Ashford, Kent. I have a good sense of humour and make learning fun. I play bass clarinet in the Ashford Concert Band and enjoy reading and cycling. I am extremely reliable.
Availability: I am available most evenings and on weekends. I can tutor during the daytime during school holidays.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have been a teacher of French and German for 30 years. I currently work at Towers secondary school in Ashford. I have been a head of department and a head of year. I have been an examiner and team leader for the Pearson French GCSE writing paper for 8 years and I also mark for AQA (French GCSE writing). I have tutored many students and all have gained grades 5-9, with all of them increasing their mock scores by at least one grade. I produce good results both in school and as a tutor. During the pandemic I have been tutoring online and this has been working very well. I am flexible and can work around you. I often stay for a bit past the hour at no extra cost if needed and will willingly check any work via email. I bring a wealth of materials and expertise and guarantee to help you on the path to success.
