Information about Sandra
Sandra is a PhD researcher at Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies Department, King`s College London. She completed a MA in Communication at Universitat de Barcelona, a MA in Educational Management and a MA in Latin American Literature at Universidad de Chile. After working as a Lecturer in Linguistic at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and as a Foreign Language Teacher at Universitat de Barcelona, she arrived to London in 2019 to work on her current doctoral research focused on Protestant female missionary literature in South America. Sandra is currently completing a DELE certification by Instituto Cervantes, London and works as a GTA for Grammar and Texts modules at SPLAS, KCL.

Experience: Sandra has taught Spanish language and Latin American culture for ten years at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Universitat de Barcelona, Kings College London, among others. She has created didactic materials for writing and oral skills courses, combining knowledge in linguistic, literature and drama (especially, improvisation exercises and body language techniques). From that work experience, she has learnt the importance of promoting an active involvement of students in the learning process and versatile activities increasing opportunities for communication and satisfy a variety of educational needs.
Sandra also has collaborated for research working groups and has coordinated literacy training programs specifically designed for professionals and companies.
