Information about Rebecca
Currently working towards a PhD in Wind and Marine Energy Systems at Engineering department at Strathclyde University. I graduated with 1st in Mechanical Engineering and studied Maths, English Literature and Biology at A-Level .I am happy to work with pupils of any age and ability. I am patient and understand that people learn in different ways so I like to tailor teaching methods to suit the individual. I find using real life applications help learning and encourage enthusiasm for science and maths.
Availability: Evenings and weekends. I work 9-5 Monday to Friday, so my availability is flexible around this so.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have experience with teaching children at outreach programmes designed to promote science and engineering through games and activities. I have also worked as a teaching assistant at my school`s homework club, for 11-13 year old children with learning difficulties.

Becky was a complete star - willing to spend quite a lot of time, at short notice, helping with 1st year engineering mechanics resit preparation - including time herself working out exam questions to check answers against our son`s, and even lending him a book. No idea yet if he`s passed, but if he hasn`t then it won`t be Becky`s fault!

Extremely helpful and easy to talk to, Becky is an excellent tutor that can explain even the most complex problems in a simple way. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is struggling with any aspect of an engineering degree.
