I started tutoring two and a half years ago, after graduating from Exeter with a Biological Sciences degree. I first helped a friend who was struggling with her A-levels, followed by the brother of a friend who was similarly finding his GCSEs a bit daunting. I found I really enjoyed using my knowledge and skills to help these young people understand the concepts they`d been struggling with, plus finding ways to inject a bit of humour and interest into the qualifications they saw as trials to endure was an added bonus. Both came away with the grades they`d hoped for and (I like to think!) a greater enjoyment of the subject. I`ve since tutored two more young people and am keen to carry on passing on my knowledge and enthusiasm in ways that young people can engage with and enjoy, particularly after the bumpy past 18 months they`ve had!

Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree: Biological Sciences (First)
A-level: Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Geography

Availability: Weekday evenings (excluding Tuesdays) and weekends.

Willing to travel: 5 miles
