Qualified Primary School Teacher who trained in London and has over 10 years tutoring experience. Previously taught in an outstanding London school and am now focusing on private tutoring. Recently moved to Keynsham and looking to find new students who need some support in English and Maths.

Professionally, I am very organised, punctual and believe in approaching teaching with fun and positivity. It is important that children understand that all learning supports us in everyday life and I will try to show children this doesn`t have to be a chore.

I am experienced in assessing children`s abilities, supporting them to progress by recognising areas to improve or challenge.

Availability: I am available after 4pm Mon- Thurs.

Experience: Tutoring experience: I have prepared students for Year 6 SATs where children were identified as making less than expected progress, who then went on to achieve their targeted attainment. This involved weekly after-school classes working with groups or on a one-to-one basis.

Professionally, I was phonics leader in my last school, managing the teaching and assessment of over 180 children to support them in reading and writing. It was my role to ensure children were grouped suitably in order to be challenged and make progress.

I am experienced in preparing children for Key Stage 1 SATs in Year 2. Having taught in Year 1 and 2, I have an excellent understanding of the key skills needed in order to be working at the expected standard in all subjects. I know which curriculum statements will need to be mastered to move forward and how support your child with this.

I have also been privately tutoring ex pupils in years 3,4 and 5 for the last 3 years and am now looking to find children to tutor closer to where I live.

I have a lot of experience talking with parents about where their child is at educationally and how they too can support them in progressing.
