I am passionate about science and education, and thoroughly enjoy my job as a science teacher. My background is in human biology, however I am also very much interested in plant biology, ecology and evolutionary biology, and deeply enjoy teaching each. Through completing my PGCE at King`s College London, I have established a number of evidence based methods for maximising learning and understanding.

Availability: I am available every weekday evening except Wednesday.

Experience: I completed my previous degree (medicine) in 2005. Following this I worked as a physician for 12 years (with three years spent in Sydney Australia working in emergency medicine). On deciding to change careers and enter teaching, I successfully gained a place at King`s College London. Here I not only gained practical experience through working in two contrasting schools, but also learned a great deal about the theory behind teaching, learning and education. Since the completion of my PGCE, I have been working at Prendergast School in Lewisham (which is an Ofsted Outstanding school, with exceptional GCSE results). I teach science at KS3 and 4 (biology, chemistry and physics) and KS5 (biology).
