Information about Bryony
I am a Creative Writing Master`s graduate from the University of Nottingham, in which I received a Distinction. Prior to this I graduated from the university with a First Class degree in English with Creative Writing. I am a passionate and practicing writer, with strong and recent knowledge of A-Level English, and undergraduate and postgraduate learning. From my experience as a postgraduate student, and a badminton athlete, I have had to juggle a busy and demanding schedule throughout my education, whilst achieving success in both. I have always had a passion for learning myself, and so to enrich another`s learning, as well as impart my own knowledge and experiences, is a hugely fulfilling roleone that I take seriously.
I currently have a PhD place at the University of Nottingham in Creative Writing, so I can also provide support with University applications.

Any other questions you have are also welcomed. I offer online support only during this time.
My approach is one that is friendly, supportive, and student-led. I focus on creating sessions that are tailor-made to individual students. I encourage students to discuss their own goals and targets, so that collaboratively we can decide how I can best help them and get the most out of each session. I have worked with children of all ages and disabilities, and understand the importance of the tutor`s role in providing a different perspective that may better help clients understand their tasks.
Any class material or work can be emailed to me before a session, which we can discuss during a face-to-face online call; I also provide detailed written feedback for students to read prior to our session. I offer a range of services such as support with critical essay writing, book analyses, creative writing, developing university-level research skills, and supporting individual time-management and pastoral needs.
I also offer vocational support in creative writing skills, editing, and feedback.
Availability: I am available any time during the week, as well as at weekends.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have had experience with mentoring students at HE with reading and English literature/language, where I planned student sessions, collaborating with the aims of the head of the English department. I also tracked students progress and organised assessments that would determine and track development, relating student progress and feedback to the head of department. I supported students by encouraging them and building a rapport and a comfortable learning environment. I have also worked with university students providing constructive written feedback, editing and reviewing their work, and encouraging and supporting them to improve their practice. Also, through my own university experience, such as with the difficulties of coping with university life, balancing studies, and mental wellbeing, I can provide honest and experience-shared pastoral support to students.
