Hello! I`m studying Electronic and Information Engineering at Imperial College London. I remember preparing for exams was difficult as I found certain topics hard and so I would talk to a tutor. Realising how much a tutor can help improve my grades and boost my confidence in the subject was mesmerising. As a result, after getting qualified in my subjects I wanted to spread the magic that tutors did.

My tutoring style is usually dependent on the tutee at hand as each person learns differently, however if a student is unsure on how they learn I have a great structure to start off with. My sessions would consist of a set of notes or a PowerPoint that I would go through with the student that had worked out examples as well as the theory for the subject, I would then work questions through with them in class to see if the tutee really understood the content and if not I would be able to help there and then unlike at school perhaps. This way the student will understand the topic and would grow in confidence which would lead to the better grades. At the end of the session I would do a summary of the lesson as well as give them homework if they would like or have time, as sometimes, tuition homework as well as school homework can sometimes be overwhelming.
