Information about James
Hi, I`m James. I hold a first class mathematics degree, a PhD in the physical sciences, and have plenty of experience tutoring students. Just as importantly, I`m passionate about maths and always try to pass on this enthusiasm to my students. I charge competitive rates, and offer the first tuition session absolutely FREE with no obligation to continue, so that you can be sure of finding the right tutor for you or your son/daughter before parting with any of your hard-earned cash. I`m also fully DBS checked.
Availability: I have a flexible timetable and am able to offer sessions most evenings of the working week or at weekends.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have had plenty of experience teaching students at university level during my academic career, as well as providing private maths tuition to GCSE and A Level school students outside of work.
I am able to offer comprehensive subject coverage for those students studying mathematics at secondary school/sixth form college, including the following courses:
- GCSE (Key Stage 4) in Mathematics
- GCSE (Key Stage 4) in Statistics
- AS and A Level (Key Stage 5) in Mathematics
- AS and A Level (Key Stage 5) in Pure Mathematics
- AS and A Level (Key Stage 5) in Further Mathematics
- AS and A Level (Key Stage 5) in Further Mathematics (Additional)
I am also able to offer tuition specifically geared towards the any of the three major mathematics examination boards, i.e. EdExcel, OCR & AQA. For AS/A Level students, this includes all modules covered by these exam boards, including Core Mathematics / Pure Core 1-4, Further Pure Mathematics 1-4, Mechanics 1-5, Statistics / Probability and Statistics 1-4, and Decision Mathematics 1-2.
In addition, it is likely that I will be able to help many higher education (university) students studying towards a degree in mathematics, depending on the path that the student has taken when choosing their modules - please feel free to contact me to ask.
