I am an Oxford graduate, with 24 years experience of classroom teaching at all levels (KS3, GCSE & A Level) in the state sector. I am an English specialist, both Literature and Language, but also have considerable experience teaching Drama, Media Studies and Film Studies.
I am a calm, patient and supportive tutor who can design a course of learning based around your specific requirements.
Since taking up tutoring in January 2025, I have delivered over 240 hours of tuition to students with a range of needs and ability. Whether you need a bit of a push to achieve the top grades or help to pass, whether you have been out of school and need support to return to education or are being home schooled, I can help.

My main role at Burford was English teacher; I taught Media Studies for six years until the subject was discontinued; I also taught KS3 Drama during my time at Burford, as the school required.
In my first year at the school, I was acting Head of Media Studies (to cover a colleague`s maternity). I was KS3 Coordinator in the English department for a year and spent six years performing the role of Whole School Literacy Lead.
