Information about Charlotte

I am a reliable and enthusiastic tutor who has been working with GCSE and A level students for the last 4 years. I can boast an exceptional academic record including two degrees which I hope illustrates my understanding of how I can help your candidates flourish, and is also reflected in my results; all my students to date have achieved final results one or two steps above their initial A level or GCSE grade.

I offer long term weekly tuition in line with school terms as well as shorter term intensive booster packages according to your needs. Particular strengths include essay construction, persuasive and creative writing and sketchbook/concept review and improvement.

Additionally I am a teacher of piano and sax and an accompanist with a variety of experience accompanying singers, choirs and instrumentalists as well as leading bands and performing. With a strong work ethic and positive attitude I aim to help students of any age develop their skills and experience. I can currently boast a 100% pass rate at ABRSM and Trinity music exams.

If you need a bit of an extra push before an exam I also offer a short term intensive packages to help you achieve a grade. I have now been playing the piano for 20 years and the sax for 15 so I have a keen awareness of the struggles students encounter and the ways through them. I passed both my grade 8s before the age of 18 so have had plenty of time since to hone performance skills and explore different musical disciplines.

If you would like to hone your skills or just learn a new one, I would love to hear from you!

Availability: My availability can be limited as I teach part time.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I can boast 4 years teaching experience with students ranging from ages 7 to 70. I have conducted this alongside self employment in the TV/theatre industry as a prosthetics artist. I am a career changer who retrained following 4 years as a Sales Manager for Harrods Ltd.

Whilst this mostly includes 1 to 1 tuition I have also taught SFX workshops for junior school classes and concept development at undergraduate level.

Prior to this, as a Rainbows leader for 6 years I ran weekly meetings for groups of ten to fifteen 5-7 year olds as part of volunteer work for Girl Guiding UK. Aside from planning the meetings and activities I had to think on my feet to accommodate the different needs and wants of the individual girls but balance this with keeping control amongst the group as a whole.
