Information about Paul
I am a retired teacher of Spanish and French (retirement date - August 2012) with 34 years of teaching both languages up to and including GCSE and A level.
I am keen to maintain my levels of fluency in both languages and continue to hold a real love of teaching as well as a desire to pass on my passion for languages to others.
Availability: To be arranged to suit both parties.

Experience: I was Head of Modern Foreign Languages in a Secondary School for 10 years before moving into senior leadership posts and eventually headship at secondary level. I continued to teach both languages up to A level as well as holding the aforementioned senior leadership posts. My principal degree subject is Spanish with subsidiary French. I taught for one year in a College and Lycee in Granville, France as part of a teacher exchange programme.
Since retirement I have been teaching GCSE Spanish and French to a number of students on a weekly basis.
I acquired contracts to teach Spanish to managers of two international fruit and vegetable companies who have direct contact with producers in Spain and South America. These ran from January 2013, with one contract finishing in June 2013 and the other continuing until June 2016.

Myself and my partner have been having joint Spanish tutoring together with Paul for a number of weeks now and we are really pleased with our progress and the tutoring we have received.
Paul makes the lessons fun and interactive which we really enjoy. This is especially important for us as we have our lessons in the early evening after a full days work, so we find this style really helps to keep us engaged.
On our first meeting Paul came with a rough lesson plan but also asked for our feedback in terms of what we would like to prioritise in our learning which I know my partner found particularly helpful as he has booked to go to South America and there will be certain words/phrases that he will want to be aware of prior to his trip.
We would definitely recommend Paul as a tutor and look forward to continuing our lessons and learning more of the language.
