Sophie

My name is Sophie , and my aim is to make learning work for you. I have a first class degree in maths, but more importantly I have a deep love for my subject! I understand that maths can be difficult and confusing, but I believe that anyone can learn it with enough patience and encouragement. I also have experience with students with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and anxiety, and we`ve found ways to make maths work and make it fun around their individual strengths and weaknesses. As someone with SEND myself (I`m autistic and have ADHD and anxiety), I understand how important it is for learning to be accessible for neurodivergent students and how to accommodate their needs.

Availability: I am available online only, during or before school hours

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: I have plenty of experience teaching to all ages, from primary school children through to adult learners. I also have experience with teaching students with SEND, and I work together with my students to find ways in which learning works for them.
