Information about Sophie
My name is Sophie , and my aim is to make learning work for you. I have a first class degree in maths, but more importantly I have a deep love for my subject! I understand that maths can be difficult and confusing, but I believe that anyone can learn it with enough patience and encouragement. I also have experience with students with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and anxiety, and we`ve found ways to make maths work and make it fun around their individual strengths and weaknesses. As someone with SEND myself (I`m autistic and have ADHD and anxiety), I understand how important it is for learning to be accessible for neurodivergent students and how to accommodate their needs.
Availability: I am available online only, during or before school hours
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have plenty of experience teaching to all ages, from primary school children through to adult learners. I also have experience with teaching students with SEND, and I work together with my students to find ways in which learning works for them.

After a retry at college for his gcse Maths we decided he needed a tutor to give him some additional help. Tutor hunt is very good, you can look for and find a suitable tutor. We found Sophie who was very helpful, Excellent tutor, managed to communicate with and find a level of understanding to tutor our son, he got the results he needed for the next stage of his course. We could schedule extra lessons, or move them around to suit Sophie and our sons schedules. Would highly recommend.
