I am a teacher of 24 years standing, head of department for 20 of those years. I am passionate about teaching my subject and have excellent results across the key stages. I have also been a private tutor for 20 years, and also offer English (to KS4) and maths (to KS2).

I have much experience of working with children due to sit 11+ exams and am currently teaching in an independent prep school (8 years) - delivering teaching and learning to Reception to Year 8. I work with pupils on transition to Year 3 and Year 7 within our school and onwards to new schools. I am also a leader on elearning and remote learning.

Availability: I am available during the school day or at weekends and use Zoom, Skype screenshare, Google Apps or one to one for lessons.

Experience: I have a PGCE in History and ICT, have been teaching to A Level in both History and ICT and more recently, computing in an international British prep school. I can offer History and ICT/Computing to GCSE, as well as English and maths tuition: I have 20 years` experience of working with children to improve their English and maths skills and prepare for 11+. Most recently I tutored a Year 11 student in verbal and non-verbal reasoning with the result that the student was offered places at two top independent sixth form schools - one with scholarship.
