A former science teacher who specialised in Physics and Chemistry to GCSE and IGCSE Higher level but now working in schools as a Maths Intervention Tutor dealing with KS3 and KS4 pupils.
My job is to teach and motivate pupils to enjoy and understand Mathematics. Examination technique is also covered in order to raise pupils grades. I take a firm but friendly approach to tuition and take care to identify individual pupils needs and problems in understanding the concepts and methods used in Mathematics. Use of past papers is used as pupils approach their GCSE exams. Specialist computer based teaching resources are also used as part of the tuition process.
Although not teaching science in school I have continued to teach Physics and Chemistry privately and so have kept abreast of all the developments in the two subjects as well as being familiar with exam boards requirements.

Availability: Week nights, Monday through to Thursday, from 5:00 pm onwards and Sunday afternoon.
I can also offer tuition via Skype or Whats app video calls.

Willing to travel: 15 miles

Experience: Over twenty years experience of teaching Physics and Chemistry at KS4 and Science at KS3 plus over fifteen years experience of tutoring Maths Physics and Chemistry on a one to one private tuition basis.
Ten years experience of Maths one to one tuition in school.
