I am a passionate, dedicated and engaging teacher who is committed to ensuring that all students reach their full potential. Whilst my main aim is support students in achieving the highest possible grades, I believe that building the confidence of a student in a fun, dynamic and stimulating learning environment is also of paramount importance. I am currently in my tenth year of teaching.

Availability: Daytime between 9.30am and 1.30pm on Mondays & Fridays. My preference is to teach in person.

Willing to travel: 3 miles

Experience: I have a vast range of teaching experience from GCSE to A-level in both literature and language, across two exam boards: AQA and Edexcel. I have marked English Language Paper 2 GCSE for AQA and intend to mark English Literature Paper 1 GCSE for Edexcel this academic year. As a result, I have a detailed understanding of the requirements for the exam and can teach my students the skills required in order for them to gain the highest marks possible.

I have held several posts in addition to my classroom teacher role: GCSE English Literature Curriculum Lead, Assistant Head of House, Head of Year 7 English.

I have also had vast experience tutoring English at GCSE, seeing excellent results and improvements from all students. I create a series of sessions catered to the individual needs of each student in order to best prepare them for examinations, as well as providing a wide variety of past papers for independent study; I am happy to grade with detailed feedback and areas for improvement.
