I have an MSc in Mathematics and am a former Head of Department at a high achieving grammar school. I have been teaching & tutoring students for over 20 years and have a wealth of knowledge and experience in GCSE, A-Level, and degree-level Mathematics. I am also an Examiner and Assessor for multiple exam boards (notably Edexcel, AQA, OCR, and Cambridge International), which gives me a unique perspective on how to optimise exam performance and maximise student grades.
The best part of my job is making Mathematics accessible and enjoyable to my students – I have worked with 1000s of students at both comprehensive & grammar schools with a range of abilities and aptitudes. The greatest reward and gratification I receive is when student meets and surpasses their potential, and I can help them progress to the next stage of their academic lives. Before becoming a teacher (2004), I started as a management trainee at a large multinational corporation (10 years) and then worked as a senior analyst programmer specialising in banking software (5 years).
Availability: 07:00 - 22:00 (Monday - Sunday)
KS3 Maths (Y7 & Y8) - £50 per hour
GCSE Maths (Y9 & Y10 & Y11) - £60 per hour
GCSE Maths with Further Maths - £70 per hour
A-Level Maths - £75 per hour
A-Level Maths with Further Maths - £90 per hour
Degree-Level Maths - £120 per hour
I also offer group lessons (maximum size 4 students) with an associated discount – please enquire for more details.

Anupam is very competent and pragmatic tutor and her experience as senior Maths teacher and exam board is invaluable. Our daughter needed to get A from maths to firmly secure her Oxford offer. She particularly struggled with mechanics and Anupam took on the challenge to better explain the concepts. She agreed to practice with her each day before the A level in addition to weekly sessions. As a result what was the weakest point, became her strongest exam paper. She is grateful to Anupam for her help as she was indeed awarded much needed A and her Oxford offer has been confirmed. Anupam is also very caring and personable tutor and my daughter really responded to her approach. Anupam really wanted her to do well and her approach yielded results!
