I am Musician, Composer, Performer and Producer with experience of working in both the music industry and within music education. I studied Music Production and Film music at the Leeds College of Music where I gained a BA (hon) degree in Music Production (2:1). I later went on to study for a PGCE in Secondary Music education at Bristol University, then went on to work as a music teacher in secondary schools. I have experience of teaching both GCSE and A2 level music with different exam boards with a particular specialism in teaching composition and music theory.

I plan lessons to suit each individuals needs and musical ambitions, concentrating on making lessons fun and engaging for the students. I have been teaching the Piano for 3 years, and I am able to teach beginners through to advanced students in a range of styles from Classical to Jazz and Pop. I have experience of teaching the following exam boards ABRSM, Trinity and Rock School. Whether you want to prepare for traditional graded exams or just learn how to play pop piano I try to cater for all styles and goals.

As well as teaching the Piano I am able to offer Music Theory lessons from grades 1-8, or offer tuition for support with both GCSE and A level music. I have a Masters in Music composition from the University of Surrey therefore I would be happy to teach composition at any level to students also.

Finally I have also been playing the bass guitar for over 15 years, as well as performing in bands. I can offer Bass Guitar tuition from beginner to advanced, normally working with the Rock School syllabus/exam board.
