Information about Lee
I have over 20 years experience as a qualified science teacher and Senior Examiner.
I don`t just teach science; I teach students how to think like an examiner so they can secure the highest grades possible.
My tutoring strategy is split equally between building solid core knowledge and perfecting exam technique. In a typical lesson, we secure your understanding of a specific topic and then immediately apply it to a series of exam questions.
We cover all question stylesfrom multiple-choice to extended response and data analysisensuring you are fully prepared for AO1, AO2, and AO3 requirements.
Availability: I have availability for online lessons on most mornings, afternoons and evenings Monday to Friday. Please enquire for specific times.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: My teaching career began over 20 years aso as a secondary school teacher, teaching GCSE science and A-Level Biology, before moving into a college lecturer role where I taught science to 1618-year-olds and adult learners. I also have experience teaching university students studying foundation degrees in forensic science.
However, my biggest advantage as a tutor comes from the decade I spent working directly for a large UK exam board. During those ten years, I managed the quality and standards for science qualifications. My responsibilities included overseeing the production of exam papers, quality assuring the marking process, and acting as Chair of Examiners to award the final grades.
Because of this unique background I know exactly how exam papers are designed and precisely what examiners are looking for when they award marks so your child can get the best exam grade possible.

Feedback For Lee (11)
Emily (Mrs)

We are really pleased with the biology tuition our son has been receiving from Lee over the last few weeks. Lee has been professional, organised, and dedicated from the outset. Lee`s lessons are well planned and thoughtfully structured. He always comes well prepared, making excellent use of time and explains concepts clearly and in a way that is easy to understand. Our son feels increasingly confident in his understanding of the course content covered so far. We also appreciate the detailed feedback provided after every lesson. It keeps us informed about our son`s progress, highlights areas for improvement, and shows Lee`s genuine commitment to his progress. We would happily recommend Lee to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, reliable, and supportive biology teacher.

Lees tutoring sessions have been extremely helpful as my son approaches his A levels. In particular, Lee is good at providing questions by topic and going over key marking points.
