I am a translator and qualified languages teacher.

I hold a Bachelor Degree in Translation and Interpreting in the University of Granada with French and Mandarin and a Masters degree in Teaching French as a Foreign Languages from the Spanish Open University. I have also studied the theoretical side of teaching through the "Spanish teaching training courses" by the Cervantes Institute.

I am familiar with the curriculum specification for KS3 and KS4, as well as preparation for GCSE and A-Levels exams. I have experience teaching from year 7 to year 11 both through private tutoring and in schools.

I focus on the communicative approach and I believe the student has to have an active role on the learning process with fun and engaging lessons. I always keep my students motivated and interested in learning a new language and its culture through my enthusiasm for foreign languages and multiculturalism. As a consequence of my international studies, living in places such as Beijing and Angers, I can offer students first hand experiences in regards to the fantastic opportunities that learning a new language can offer.

As well as students achieving high grades in the classroom, I believe it is just as crucial to create a long-term interest in studying languages. Through my teaching style and experiences abroad I can help students understand how enriching, personal and professional, communication can be with people from different cultures, faiths and countries.

Availability: Mondays to Fridays. Some weekends if required

Experience: I have experience teaching modern foreign languages in secondary schools in Spain and UK. I have recently worked as a cover teacher in schools in Coventry, therefore I am familiar with the content as well as the exams requirements for KS3 and KS4.
In the past, I have also taught Spanish and English in China in private schools.

I have offered one on one language tuition since a young age. During the years, I have improved my methods and teaching strategies through practice and through formal education (BA, MA and CPD courses). I have taught students of all ages, from primary school children to adults. I have a professional and kind approach to teaching languages by fun and engaging lessons where the students is the main actor. My lessons are flexible and adaptable to each student needs and goals.
